Scientific seminar «Ecological problems of Moscow: challenges and solutions»

The seminar was organized by the Institute for regional studies and urban planning HSE together with state unitary enterprise «Institute of General plan of Moscow». The seminar was devoted to the urgent issues of sustainable development of megacities, and the necessity or possibility of introduction of the «green economy» principles in all spheres of the functioning of the city. Were discussed the key environmental issues in the city, approaches to formation of new quality of life in Moscow, measures and mechanisms for the management of urban ecological systems, approaches and principles of regulation of urban planning and other economic activities and ecological supervision over its implementation. The first seminar of science cycle took place on the 17th of may, the second workshop, on 6 November.
